We are currently seeking a dynamic individual who is driven and passionate about financial services for our Marketing Coordinator position in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. This is a temporary contract position, twelve (12) months in duration.

The Marketing Coordinator fulfills an essential administrative support role in relation to the Credit Union’s marketing communication channels, aiding branches sales objectives and the overall achievement of departmental plans and goals. The incumbent utilizes strong computer, writing and proofreading skills to compile, format and prepare information and correspondence as required.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Using PC based systems and desktop publishing, produce a variety of documents such as online content, correspondence, reports, forms, marketing materials, spreadsheets, user guides and support documentation
  • Complete and process administrative forms and other documentation as required
  • Process and coordinate correspondence for mass mailings to members, and manage contact databases in accordance with applicable YNCU policies and legislation (e.g. CUMIS home & auto mailings, investment share mailings)
  • Upload information to YNCU’s intranet and extranet
  • Monitor and respond to user comments, inquiries or complaints
  • Process website data and provide to appropriate stakeholders for their resolution
  • Draft marketing materials and advertising in line with overall marketing plan for supervisor review and approval, as required
  • Solicit print quotations for externally produced materials and book advertising
  • Assist with orders, distribution and inventory control of marketing supplies
  • Assist with ensuring branches are adequately supplied with marketing materials, and that all materials are current and compliant, including printing posters and preparing customized orders for branches; wealth management content
  • Process invoices and input expenses into budget tracking spreadsheet
  • Write messages for monthly and annual account statements for approval; provide backup assistance for design
  • Assist with proofreading marketing materials
  • Assist with planning, coordinating, executing and participating in Credit Union events including but not limited to the Annual General Meeting, including compiling list of members eligible to vote at the meeting.
  • Provide support to Credit Union’s social media function as required; provide shortened URL links, assist in maintaining newsletter mailing list;
  • Provide backup support for administering sponsorship requests and proper representation of Credit Union through outside venues and channels
  • Provide backup support for administration of Community Partnership Program
  • Assist with the development of marketing resources and sales tools as requested – e.g. extra buckslips, landing pages on website, comparison charts; emergency alerts and messages
  • Provide assistance with launch, analysis and recommendations resulting from member satisfaction survey
  • Update website content as required including graphics support; job postings, promotions
  • Assist with developing and providing internal communications and announcements
  • Provide excellent client service to internal and external parties
  • Be aware of enterprise risk management issues as they relate to Marketing and bring forward strategic and risk issues for discussion, review and solutions
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of policies, procedures and applicable legislation as they pertain to the operations of Marketing
  • Abide by Credit Union policies, procedures, standards, guidelines and practice
  • Work safely in accordance with Credit Union’s Health & Safety Policy, procedures and the Occupational Health and Safety Act as amended from time to time
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary diploma, degree and/or certification in Marketing or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a marketing/sales support role with proven results
  • In-depth knowledge of marketing principles and practices
  • Experience working in a financial institution is an asset
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint), html knowledge, ftp, Adobe Creative Suite and Adobe Acrobat; aptitude for computer based tools
  • Experience with desktop design programs i.e. Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop an asset
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license and available reliable vehicle
  • Ability to travel to all locations
  • Ability to work flexible hours, at times
  • Must be bondable

We are currently seeking a Part-time Member Service Representative(MSR) for our Sault Ste. Marie location who is interested in pursuing a future in the financial services industry. As a MSR you will be responsible for accurately processing a full range of Member transactions, as well as meeting sales referral goals and consistently providing quality customer service in a professional manner.

Candidates must possess a minimum of a post secondary diploma, preferably in business and demonstrated communication, interpersonal, sales and customer service skills. In addition, successful candidates will have a minimum of 3-5 years of related work experience including sales, cash handling, solid computer skills along with customer service sales experience, and a demonstrated willingness to upgrade skills and education.
