Bank & Transit Number Change

Financial Institution & Transit Number

March 28th, 2017

We have begun a one-year project to change our financial institution and transit number to align with standard payment processing for credit unions in Ontario. There is nothing our members need to do right now; we will assist you through the transition over the next year. There will be no disruption to service because of this change, which is anticipated to be completed in April 2018.

To begin the process, we issued a notice of change to all our pre-authorized payment and direct deposit vendors. Some of those vendors have chosen to start contacting members to confirm changes. Please note that, if the vendor is contacting you, they will already have the correct information directly provided by Community First.  Members are encouraged to protect their personal and banking information and never to share it by e-mail or phone.

We encourage our members with questions to contact the Service Excellence Centre for more information.

We are here to support you through this transition and want to provide reassurance that we are working diligently to ensure no interruption in services as a result of the change in transit numbers.
